The Reeds 'N Stuff gouging machine is designed by Udo Heng and is manufactured in Germany. Used in combination with the Reeds 'N Stuff Pre-gouging Machine, your gouging time will be reduced from hours to minutes. Your pre-gouged cane is clamped to the bed vertically by spring loaded clamps and horizontally on both ends by spring loaded stops. The Reeds 'N Stuff gouging machine is designed so adjustments to gouge thickness and shaving thickness are simple and accurate to make. When the unique circular gouging blade is dulled it can easily be rotated 120 degrees (1/3 of the circumference of the blade) for 3 uses or 180 degrees for 2 uses then bolted back into place with no readjustments/ realignments needed. When all the surfaces are dull, simply replace the blade. All gouging machines are available with an "offset gouge" (as preferred by most American oboist) or the regular gouge (best for non-american scrape reeds). Unless requested at the time of order, all machines are ordered with the "offset gouge". It is the simplest, most foolproof gouging machine on the market.
