"All the OboeStuff you'll ever need" Product Information Page
Spyderco© Ceramic Sharpeners provide the best surface to sharpen your reeds knives. The bench stones come in medium, fine and ultra fine grit. The pocket stones are available in medium, fine and a bonded medium & fine stone in a leather pouch. The pocket stones are small enough to fit in most tool cases. The Tri-Angle Sharpmaker is the best stick system available. Each stick is a triangular 7" rod that is placed in a holder specially molded to hold the triangular shape for flat surface sharpening, laid flat in the holder so you can use them like bench stones or placed in the holder on point for a razor sharp edge that no round rod can touch. Unlike round sticks that barely touch your blade, the triangular sticks insure your knives will be utilizing a maximum sharpening surface (1/2"). The whole thing fits into a heavy duty plastic carrying case for maximum portability and comes with two brass protective rods. It is possible to eliminate the need for bench stones altogether. Replacement sticks for the 204MF are available. The Ultra-fine is now available in a stick for a better than strop finish. [A pair of Diamond sticks for re-facing knives is also available on special order (no refunds or exchanges for this special order item).] These fine Alumina Ceramic sharpeners are designed to be used dry. Therefore, you can throw the old honing oil can away, put the towels back in the closet for those used to those messy water stones and enjoy the process of putting a razors edge on every knife. Cleaning ceramic stones & sticks is easy too. Wet the surface of the stone with water, apply some abrasive powder (Zud®, Comet®, etc), rub with a plastic abrasive pad (ScotchBrite® or similar pad) till the surface is clean, rinse in water, let dry and you are ready to use them again.
